I need some references of good consulting companies that have direct vending relationships with big companies. I will be looking out for contracting jobs since my current contract will come to an end soon and dont want to be on bench.

If she uses her H4 Visa stamp to enter , will have to file H4 to H1 Chane of status to be able to work on H1.
She should be able to enter on H4. Then apply for COS from H4 to H1 when she is in US. This should take about 3 months.
If possible, get the H1 visa stamped while in India. She can then enter on H1.
I think there should not be any issues either way...

Thansk for your reply. In the Residency application(ERAS), there are two categories:
1) Visa - J1, H1, EAD etc
2) No Visa requirement - Green Card/US Citizen.
If we check EAD, they will think that we need a visa which we don't
If we check Green Card, technically we do not have our green cards yet
What is the best thing to do?
Check green card. and clarify later with hospital that no visa needed as u have valid EAD.

CALLED USCIS .they said they cant transfer to level 2 operator to check receipt number...Is there any other way to find out?...will the bank be able to read and tell?

I have taken filights to Indore from both Mumbai and Delhi. There is not much difference per say, both of them provide you the shuttle to domestic airport. The delhi shuttle takes slightly longer (like 10 mins more). Both places have good facilities to wait too.
So I guess take whichever is cheaper.
One important point to remember though is that if you are travelling in Dec and Jan, Delhi does get a lot of fog and flights get delayed. So if your domestic flight got delayed, you might the international one or if the international one get delayed then you might be stuck in delhi for a while. I got stuck there for a day (although the airline provided nice accomadation).
So if going in Dec or Jan, choose Mumbai.
So I guess take whichever is cheaper.

DHS was looking for someone with deportation order of Walawala's place, which the person wasn't there, never lived there, never existed there. Walawala and his wife have valid H1 and H4 status. They looked at their document and with face that look cynical said that Walawala and his wife are 'ONLY' worker that come to this country and threathened they could have done something to harm their status. 'ONLY' Worker that come to this country, what do you guys think?

I-140 approved and about to file 485.
Employer says he can file only 485 and no EAD for me. But he can file EAD/AP for my wife.
Can I file EAD/AP for me separately on my own? What are the consequences from my employer if I quit after six months of applying 485 (by that time I would've got my EAD/AP)? Can he reject my 140 and/or 485?
You can apply for EAD at anytime. All you will need is a copy of your I-485 AOS receipt (which I think USCIS will send to you, but I am not sure).
After 6 months (180 days to be exact), your employer cannot revoke I-140 (and hence I-485) if you invoke AC21.

My colleague paid $340 recently for renewal of EAD. He was July 2007 AOS filer.

It's true that one has to mention about 485, select a choice between consular processing vs processing with in USA. this is usually done while applying for 140.
However, one can always make an amendment (to either approved 140 or 140 in pending ) to change the choice
by doing so, one has to wait for a bit longer time. (but, what difference it makes in these days of retrogression?)

We have nothing to lose....a similar effort was passed last time when Clinton had left office......also the CHC might not whine this time as they will have the senate pretty much behind them next yr to do what they want.....
Also they might actually want us now out of the line if the illegals are supposed to line up next........
the job as an USCIS IO seems nice after getting my GC.....:rolleyes:
