Anyone considered how this (technically) will work? How will the iPod detect where your hands are?
I seem to remember a rumour about apple developing a display which emebdded motion sensors or CCD's between the pixels in a screen. Could this be what they will use to see/sense what you are doing.
As an aside, it would be cool if they could inplement this into all their screens. How cool for flicking between pics of a laptop of changing songs in itunes.. endless posibilities!

I bought some Christmas music that was tagged as miscellaneous not Christmas... That is annoying.

Dropped a $10/month third line from plan ~ 6 months ago.
Although, now that I'm waking up more, I did lower my rate plan as well a few months ago. The 2 of us weren't using 1400 minutes anymore, so we went down to 550. This must be the cause of it.

Also, you don't need to be suspended for non-payment, if the payment is late at all they'll consider it for the early upgrade date.

Read through this thread. Look at other sites that picked this up. Look at what you did.

People get beat up for no reason all the time. It doesn't have to do anything with bullying or the victim being a transgender. From what the victim said, the attackers used a standard "excuse" to start a fight. The new look gives the appearance of a physical desktop calendar with leather binding along the top edge, and like the iPad application shows remnants of torn-off pages for additional realism.

Bought the white iPhone for the missus because she couldnt wait for iphone 5 and I cant tell the difference side by side with my black one. Even bought a bumper that was available before the white one was released, and guess what? The white iPhone slips in perfectly.

I'm happy with my 2.13 Ghz 13" MBA right now.
I have and enjoy it now - that's what counts!
So, it's only my lust for 11" might push me to "upgrade" this year .... and only if they add SD reader and keyboard backlight :p
But a year from now, I certainly will be happy to switch to Intel GPU
I hear it'll be much upgraded in Ivy Bridge - twice as fast and stuff

My recollection is that Word for Windows doesn't have it either. I have no way to verify that right now, though, since I don't have a Windows computer here on the premises.
Word XP & 2003 for Windows have a "book fold" option - not the same as the process that lifeofart was describing, which is more like something I've used in MS Publisher 2000.

I agree. I like MS strategy. They want to get their foot in the door and compete, then sell you all kinds of other ish. Look at the XBOX/XBOX 360, they may sell them at a loss, but with the Software, XBOX Live, and the Marketplace, they are making their money.

Just like Microsoft grabbed the market in the early days of personnal computing and has the biggest share today, maybe Microsoft will have to be happy with a 10-15% MP3 player marketshare in 5-10 years.

They probably made a change to the app store to add items to the "list of supported devices" and the developer left his test string in there. The Mac app store and iTunes app store probably share that bit of code, hence the mention of "mac". Its most probably meaningless.

One thing that is buried in all of this is that Apple is FINALLY offering a magsafe airline power adaptor for their laptops, for $59.00. I have been doing a ton of cross-country flying recently, and carting two batteries to try to keep my laptop juiced up on the trip. I have waited for months for an in-flight power solution. Apple has finally come through with this! :D

Did Topolsky mention anything about that one cool feature....you know the one that makes little random spots of light bleed from the edges of the screen? Wondering if this quality feature made it from the new iPad to the new iPhone.

Testing doesn't mean it is definitely coming. Apple is going to weigh all it as a business opportunity or not.
T-Mobile could mean another 3-6 million phones in a year. If it is a simple hack of an AT&T phone and easy to implement, it might be worth Apple's effort.
Besides, what WILL happen to T-mobile's frequencies? The HW would have to be modified/upgraded/changed to support AT&T, right? Those cell towers won't switch overnight to AT&T freqs for no cost.
What really would make sense would be an AT&T/Verizon/T-Mobile WORLD phone. That would make the most sense to me.
I am sure any plans to launch it have been scrapped and this is just a left over prototype. You know Apple has a history of planning for every contingency, I am sure there are Sprint iPhones ready to go also. If Apple decides to release them they would be ready to go.
I'm sure buried inside Apple there are iPhones for every conceivable cell frequency setup on earth. They have to plan for every possible option, and with boat loads of cash, why not build some prototypes. As technology moves on and several chips with different functions merge into single chips, the Apple dream (most companies dream really) is a single phone that can run on any network. LTE will go a long way to making that a reality. Then it's just making sure your antennas work with whatever freq the carrier is on.
Steve. Hates. SKU's. In his mind there should be a single world-mode phone, black only, and 2 sizes. Once the cloud thing happens at apple then one size only as everyone pulls data from "out there" and local storage means nothing. Seeing 18 SKU's of iPad2's probably makes his skin crawl.
The other shocker I take from this... Why would Apple test out prototype stuff using un-released cases? If you want to blend in, why not test T-Mobil inside the black iPhone. The white one was a rare sighting already, a white T-Mobil phone? That makes me wonder about this. If I saw a while iPhone in the wild I'd ask about it... And if I saw it was on t-mobil?
